Magazine Design

In college, I designed a magazine titled Abodh, inspired by my experience of being away from India while studying in New York. The name Abodh is a blend of “abode” in English and “bodh” in Hindi, symbolizing the realization of a place to call home.

The design featured a mix of New York photography with hand-drawn illustrations of India, layered with superimposed Hindi text, creating a visual dialogue between my two homes.

I also experimented with binding techniques, combining perfect binding with hand-binding, which led me to delve into the fascinating world of bookbinding research.
