WHO AM I?
Hi, I’m Aarna, a graphic designer from Bombay, India, currently working out of Brooklyn, New York. With nearly a decade of experience spanning freelance, part-time, and full-time roles, I’m also pursuing a major in Communication Design at Pratt Institute in New York, focusing on graphic design with a double minor in UI/UX and business.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with over 25 clients, from renowned names like TATA Industries and Mahindra to growing startups, helping them craft their brand stories through advertising, branding, social media, and dynamic static and video ads.
When I’m not immersed in design, I’m likely enjoying a coffee, playing music, or staying active with sports.
WHY I DESIGN
I approach design as a system of intent, not decoration. My work focuses on building clear, consistent brand expressions that translate across digital, print, and physical spaces. Growing up between India and the USA shaped how I think about communication, how effective design is rooted in context, empathy, and clarity.
I’m drawn to brand work that balances craft with evolution, where technology strengthens human creativity rather than overpowering it. I value collaboration and critique, and I enjoy working between concept and execution to create visual systems that are thoughtful, durable, and culturally aware.
